We are looking for a Systems Administrator for a Renowned Company in Port Elizabeth.

The System Administrator is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. The individual participates in technical research and development for business continuity innovation.

Requirements:

Minimum 2 year IT administration experience in a client and system support capacity

Experience with implementation of information technology integrations
(Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy, WSUS / SCCCM)

Server hardware and software support experience

Ability to engage with senior level positions

Microsoft operating systems, configuration and support (Windows XP,7,8 & 10, Windows Server 2008, 2012 & 2016)

Skills and Ability:

Strong IT Hardware and Software knowledge

A high level of professionalism, confidentiality and good interpersonal skills

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines/time constraints.

Ability to work flexible hours, as required.

Problem solving skills

Be able to communicate verbally in a clear, concise, professional, tactful, diplomatic and sincere
manner at all management levels.

Ability to work independently and within a team

Duties:

Provide support, maintenance and administration for the server environment.

Configuration and implementation of Active Directory, DHCP, DNS & Group Policies

Deploying and maintaining critical/security patches of server and workstations within the organization

L2 / L3 User support and technical assistance

Manage, maintain and monitor anti-virus across organisation.

Manage, maintain and monitor patch management across organisation.

Schedule and perform server maintenance tasks with your team.

React to alerts, incidents, problems, and requests escalated to your team

Ensure system connectivity of all servers, shared software, groupware, and other applications.

Create and maintain documentation as it relates to system configuration, mapping, processes, and service records.

Customer Liaison – Keeping Customers well informed on repair status etc.

Handling of warranties – Taking hardware back to suppliers for warranty

Site Rollout – Efficient Installation of new stores, hardware, software, etc.

Other – Any other related functions
